This week's blog contains one big pointer, an ice breaker, and an opening line.
Pointer--> I did a guest spot over at Tim Riley's digs... please mosey on over for a list of my favorite documentaries and add some of your own. The list is actually one of the more useful things I may have ever posted on a blog.
Ice Breaker-->
What is madness if not freedom? Gone are the days when people ask me questions expecting a logical response. Oh, but it doesn't keep them from asking. With their digital recorders sucking at my words and their digital fingers stabbing away at their digital keyboards... they ask and ask and ask, mouths flapping, tongues wagging. They ask.... Ronnie, what does the fire say when it speaks? Who's voice does it use? Are you alone when it talks? Ronnie, is it talking now?
This week's opening line:
There is good reason to fear science.
Munk's "Opening Line" is yours to keep, use it. Munk
And, this week's music... Did someone say Ska?

So is this crazy, mad science/bio-engineering novel of yours finished yet, or have you been spending all your weekends watching documentaries? :P
Love One Step Beyond.
This gives a guy a boost. Thanks.
@LG-- I love your comments. Steady as she goes... I am getting there, how's your MS?
@dbs--Same, same. thanks loads.
Great opening line. Can go many diff directions.
Yeah you need to finish your manuscript so I can buy it.
BTW...George R.R. Martin IS totally a bitch. I mean think about it...he has made people literally wait seven f'ing years for answers to what happened in the last book with the last characters that are in this book coming out tonight.
Seven years is a long time for a cliffhanger...ya know? Dallas wouldn't have gotten away with that in the Who Shot J.R.? thing back in the seventies.
Love that opening line. I can already think of a good few follow ups...
Love the pic and how funny is Michael Offutt's comments about Dallas?
Very interesting opening line, very interesting indeed.
Excellent post, Munk, over at Tim's.
So, what the hell does the fire say when it speaks? Can I use the Ice Breaker, too. ;)
Love your opening lines! Love ska too, for that matter. Freedom, in a sense, *is* madness. What is utter freedom but chaos?
